The OpenOptix Wiki is and will continue to be a work in progress. Currently in its infancy, the wiki is in desperate need of some community lovin', so please, feel free to jump in and add any optical industry related content that interests you. (see Getting Started below)

• You can remove scratches from 1.60 and 1.66 product by microwaving the lens in a bowl of water on high for 5 minutes. (Note: Allow to cool completely before removing lenses from water and please, don't microwave your AR coated lenses.)

Getting Started

The pilot project for OpenOptix is the Open ABO Study Guide. However, efforts to document all areas relating to the ophthalmic optical industry are welcome. These areas may include, but are not limited to progressive lenses, lens Category:manufacturers, lens Category:materials, and optical history.

You are encouraged to create a login prior to contributing. Upon doing so, you will be granted additional privileges including the ability to create a user page to which all contributions may be linked.

This site uses the MediaWiki engine, the same wiki engine used for Wikipedia. If you are new to wikis, you may visit the help:contents section or visit the Wikipedia Tutuorial for additional help.
